I had my first Indian Airlines flight few days ago, for my South Indian trip. The Airlines seems to be very nice.
My booking was done at one of the airport’s IA counter, and was done promptly as well as politely. Just one day before the flight, I received a computerised announcement on my telephone stating my flight was delayed by one hour. Then there was another official calling me informing the same. I confirm the delay on the flight day, just few hours ago. The computerised call about the delay was definately useful.
When I was through the security checks at the airports, I was forwarded to the IA airbus, at the right time. There was no confusion regarding anything. Two female attendants and a male attendant were very kind enough to show me the place, assist with the seat belts, etc.
They were very co-operative in every possible way. Since this was my first air flight, I also needed help in using the private room, which the male attendant kindly instructed me.
One perception we might have regarding the IA air-hostesses and Male ones, that they might be older and not that beautiful and receptive enough compared to other airlines. But when a broad smile, followed by courteous words and service, is bestowed upon you, you are highly satisfied.
I would put, that since IA is the company which has flights operating in the maximum locations and that too at the cheapest rates, with more luggage allowances, it will definately make a difference.
I would advice all the people who are looking forward to go anywhere in India by IA, to just give IA a try.
