Airlines with a "human" face

I have been doing a fair amount of travel between Bangalore and New Delhi. Indian Airlines(now Air India) stands out in its punctuality and to a greater extent with regards to its "human" touch.

My wife was 7 months pregnant and she had to go to Delhi. The only carriers that can accommodate a 7 month pregnant women are Jet and Indian. I booked her onto Indian.

Help was there at the booking counter to ferry her luggage, agents were kind enough to give her a first row seat. Also, after dis-embarking, they carried her luggage all the way to her car. Thanks a lot to the concerned Indian staff.

Also, I decided to travel to Delhi on Diwali eve last year. To my dismay all the carriers were asking for Rs 10000+ fares. That was capitalism in her full glory. Indian again stood out. They had seats for as low as Rs 5500 at around 6 PM for 8:30 PM flight, and I bought them from the Indian counter at the HAL airport. Again, thanks to Indian, I was home for Diwali without burning my pockets.
