I must say they are lagging behind in service compared to any other international airline. Below is the example of me trying/tried for children meals for my kids, who were traveling in Executive class and neither they got on their outbound journey and for inbound travel they says as usual ’subject to availability’ ! Even airlines like Bangladesh Biman gives instant confirmation for such service even for Economy class too. Wake up Air India !!! I am copy pasting the reservation and the message I got on their Website.
