I have been Airtel 4G LTE customer in Pune almost from the time they launched(about 2 years now in Dec 2014). Originally at the time of demo we saw 40 MBPS(yes) and the service worked for a month+ very nicely.
The the speed dropped to 25 MBPS (this was still heavenly) and over time as they added customers, the rate dropped to under 10 MBPS and even under 1 MBPS or 256 Kbps.
Also, we started seeing frequent service shutdown(often on weekends when you ant to use it more from home).
Service used to be down for min 6-8 days a month and now its down half the time. IT JUST DOES NOT WORK - forget the next topic of what speed.
Customer service numbers are not easily available and you have to go to their shop to get it.
Complaints are closed without resolution within few days and new SR numbers are allocated for no reason. Possibly, someone in the org wants to show better SR closure metric.
Unless you hound them on their Facebook or Twitter accounts, you will probably not even get any attention for days. Ten people call to ask same questions and they don’t even seem to know your name and address. Weeks go by without action.
For 2200 getting 30 GB per months sound good.
They may as well promises 100 GB cause, it simply does not work most of the time. So you can’t even get to 8-9 GB per month.
All in all, a pathetic experience. I am hoping to see some respectable competition that delivers and I am willing to pay more!
