I have used Jio 4G upto 15th Aug 2017 and on the 15th, I purchased the plan of Airtel 399 4G net which is for 84 days. In this review, I am going to compare Jio 399 vs Airtel 399 plans.
1) Price: Both are of Rs 399 and validity is 84 days. 1 GB 4G data everyday. Both give unlimitted call to any network over India for 84 days.
2) Extra gain: After 1GB, Jio gives internet @128kbps but Airtel does not provide any internet at all.
3) Speed: In my area, Jio speed is better than Airtel.
4) Connection reliability: In my area, Airtel LTE disappear offten and converts to 3G. This is on 1st floor actually. At ground floor, only Airtel 2G signal is available. Whereas, Jio 4G is present at ground floor also.
5) Jio has video call option but not in Airtel. Voice call quality is also better in Jio as I experienced.
6) Service and support: This is the biggest issue for me that Airtel does not provide any information about my data use. In myJio app, I can check anytime the remaining data but in myAirtel app, no information about my 1GB data is given at all. It always show my data balance as NIL.
As bottom line, I do not recommend Airtel if other options are available. I purchased the plan to test the service and I found that Jio is much better not only in network quality, but in transparency also.
