I am using airtel connection from almost six months or so.. I have combo of ladline and broadband.. the connection is realy good. I dont regret my choice to shift to airtel. I have about 20 people in office on the net and is thru proxy server.. the connection is superb and zero down time.
I have opted for their wireless router and static IP. it works perfectly fine. the reach within the office, 700 sq feet, premises for wireless is good. no problem at all. I never face problem of connection down or wireless router problem.
I have used most available in mumbai like spacenet, mtnl, tata, hathway.. out of htese I found airtel and hathway as the best.
the only problem I face with them that they are unable to find solution for mail server. I have mail server running and is working fine with browser with excellent speed. the problem is for outlook. if I configure outlook or any other mail client, with ip address, I cant send/recevie mail.. simply it doesnt work. tried all the possibilites in the book. even their cc have no idea.. os given 2 *s to cc.. even senior person haad no clue what I am talking.
one of my friends is also using it and he is also very happy. no downtime and speed is good not like others where you get shared speed..
i will recommend to everyone, unless you want to set up mail server for your office.. yahoo, gmail etc works.. yr own mail server may not work. I dont know if there are some settings, but couldnt solve it..
I recommend every one that before choosing an ISP, check with neighbours abt their ISPs.. which one is the best in your locality and then in your society or building? over past few years, I have found that this is the best way to choose ISP in mumbai. MTNL is the best.
IF NOT MTNL, then follwo the above rule... (for mumbai only)
