This review has been rewritten.downgraded from 4 stars to 1 star. If I could rate 0 star I would have done so. I have been with Airtel for over 3 years and during this time they have been good at resolving small problems. However, in October, Airtels main cable coming into my street developed a fault resulting in noisy phone calls and frequent disconnection of broadband. Despite repeated calls to Airtel they did not resolve this problem. They did send their technicians but the technicians gave up saying they cannot do anything unless the cable fault is rectified. Why Airtel did not want to rectify the cable fault I do not know. After over 6 weeks of patient calling I finally gave up on airtel and went ahead with a disconnection. Even the final bill that I got was over charged as they charged me for a service that they did not provide. The last 10 days I did not even have a dial tone and yet I was charged for that.
Very very disappointing experience as I had high expectations from a company like Airtel.
Update: Despite my poor experience with the ADSL broadband, I thought that I shouldnt give up hope on Airtel so soon and I bought an Airtel 3G wireless internet dongle. Boy was I wrong. The connection speeds are so poor it is unbelievable. Several times it just locks out data connectivity disconnecting me from my office computers. I fail to understand how this company manages to keep a customer base.probably they are all like me who tried Airtel a second time despite a bad experience. I do not know which is better.my friend says Aircel is very good.but one things for certain: If you think broadband DO NOT think Airtel.
