Disgusting, Pathetic, Un-Friendly & Non-Reliable

Finally after too many efforts, mails, blogs & complaints I got my DSL on 28/08/11. Its 43 days after application. Matter of concern here is what has happened to Airtel as a service provider?


Today is 26th August & still I don’t have my Broadband connection.


Below is my mail which I wrote to 121@airtel.in on 3rd August. I got the reply below from Airtel.


"We would like to inform that your concern has been forwarded to rRajeev_Vermactive department with the reference number 1758362 and the same will be addressed by 04-AUG-2011 05:15 PM."


Nothing happened & when I called C.Care today after 5:15 PM, I got reply "Sir, server under upgradation for customtakeouter Betterment" Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha. I am pasting as don’t have any more energy left.


My name is Hemant Gupta & I am a prospective customtakeouter for Airtel Broadband. I would like to highlight my entire issue in bullet format below.




  1. I requested for Airtel broadband & on 15th July, 2011 an executive named




Hemant came to my house in Gurgaon for filling the new user form. CEF No:




  1. I was committed a new connection by 22nd July.




  2. I had a telephone line guy named Kishan visting my house on 23rd July & making some modifications regarding liine. When I asked about Wireless router & activation, he said to contact C.Care.




  3. I finally called customtakeouter care on 24th July at 2030 IST with my CEF no & was given a complaint number: 1270658 with assurance to get my new connection within 12 hours.




  4. Again no update received & I called C. Care on 25th July at 2100 IST with details & previous complaint number. I was issued a new complaint number:






1333530 by a C.Care executive named Vijendra & again with assurance to get my new connection within 12 hours.




  1. No updates once again & I finally decided to call C.Care once again on 26th July at 2110 IST & gave both of above complaint numbers. To my surprise, I was told above 2 complaint numbers have been closed with update " No record Found".




This time as I was already annoyed, I clearly told C.Care executive named Vipin that I’ll escalate, I was given 3rd complaint number: 1390694 & another assurance to get my Wireless router ASAP. Thanks to Vipin, I received my Beetel.


Wireless Router (DT 845W) on 27th. To my surprise, the Airtel guy asked me about my old wired router which I said I never had it as I am a new customtakeouter.


So he charged me the money for Router. I also got a call on 27th from Airtel Line technician who visited my house & to my utmost surprise this time, he told that line is not yet enabled.




  1. I finally called sales guy on 28th July, who told me has has left the job.




(Wow poor me) & gave me the number of his boss Mukesh.




  1. I called Mukesh on 28th July who said there is a software upgrade happening at Airtel server consolidating customtakeouters on same platform, to which I said ok.




Till when I can expect my line to be active, he said 3-4 days & when I asked. Him what if not enabled by that time, he said "I’ll give you my manager’s number & you can speak to him".


So, finally I am writing this entire story where I have 1 CEF number, 3.


Complaint numbers, 1 Beetel Wireless router & 1 line which I think is still in-active. Expecting that this mail will be considered as a feedback from a customtakeouter who has gone through lot of pain & waiting for a positive response & action. I had lot of faith on Airtel & Bharti enterprises which.


Seems shattering now.
