I took Airtel broadband connection in 2005 when I came to bangalore, and let me tell u.i’m vry happy tat I selected Airtel! In this time period of over 3 yrs, i’ve never faced a situation where I regretted my decision.
Talking abt the speed, I started with the 256 kbps unlimited plan, tried 512 kbps plan for a few months and currently usin 384 kbps connection.
ISP support -> In these 3 yrs, i’ve had problems with my connection only 3-4 times.whereas if you go for any other connection, u prob. wn’t even remember the no. of problems in 3 yrs! The support was outstanding, every problem was taken as a Priority and solved really early. They have a sp. thing, if they don’t fix ur dead phone within some hrs, they credit ur account with 100 bucks, hve already benefitted from tat twice.
The staff is really nice and are everyready to help. Once I tried givin a small tip to one of the worker, who came to put a new cable, but he refused sayin it’s against their policy!
Over these 3 yrs, I would rate their performance as the best in the country at the moment. Where other connections keep goin down 1-2 times a month, that has never been the case with Airtel. They even keep you well informed abt. ne downtime for server upgrade and is always in the early mornin time!
