Very sorry to say that personally feel Airtel does not need my business here in Pune.
As may be the case of many societies a few internet providers are given access to certain areas. At my society in Pune, Kalyani Nagar, BSNL(my current internet service provider) and Airtel is allowed.
Many people including the building manager of the society have an Airtel connection, however, when I applied for a connection, the representative came over at lightning speed to collect the documents, thankfully since I still have a BSNL connection as per their system, they did not charge me for installation at that time, I had to give them my BSNL bill for a waiver on installation.
I got an SMS within 2 days with details of my Airtel number and account number. Thats it, nothing else. The sales guy is not reachable via the phone number he called me on. The Airtel customer care says they cannot do anything as in their system it says "There is a building Permission Issue", the truth is my building manager is sitting next to me while I write this review and there is no building permission issue at all.
I feel let down by Airtel and did not expect this kind of service.
Anyway, I joined mouthshut today, just to write this post to let others know, so if they have the same experience they know they are not alone.
I would suggest being very vary of giving Airtel your documents as the sales guys are busy meeting their targets or collecting documents and creating new connections and then you will get approached by other sales guys trying to push their Airtel 4G plans on you.
