I was told that Airtel is the best ISP provider here in bangalore but im sorry to say that my experince with airtel makes it one among the worst service providers.
Ive been using an airtel broadband connection for more than 6 months now
This is one experience which I want to share with you people.
On 21st of may I placed a request to cancel my connection as I was supposed to join my companys office in Pune.
2 days later I received a call from airtel and the executive said that "Please dont cancel the line rather shift the line in some other name maybe some of your friend might need it" I said that this is not a solution and told him to cancel the line.
on 28th of April came to know that my transfer was postponed by 6 months. Now I shifted to a new address in the same locality. I called up the Airtel call center and told them to CANCEL my previous request and SHIFT my connection to the new address.
by 2nd of may the line was shifted and on 3rd of may it was activated and running.
On 3rd of may I also made a request to change my plan from 850/- rental to 1499/- rental.
Very next day i.e. on 4th of May I received a call from Airtel stating that " As per your request your line has been cancelled". I said that ive already withdrawn my request, how can you cancel my connection. The person inturn told me this is not his problem if you want to reactivate the line then you have to go to an airtel office and place a reactivation request.
Next day I called their call center and asked them to check the status of my connection, the guy told me that the line is active. I said there is no Dial-tone, the person said that it is may be because your phone is dead and it will be solved by next day 13:30 hrs.
No body called me up next day nor they came to see the line. I called the call center and asked them the status they said as per my request it has been cancelled. Surprised to hear this I asked him to reactivate the line again.
Nothing happened till friday i.e. 9th of May. I again called Airtel and asked the executive to hand over the phone to any of their manager. He said he can not transfer the call to his manager but assured that within 24 hrs one senior executive will call me back. I told him that if they are unable to reactivate the line by end of the Day then I im not intrested to get this line reactivated anymore.
I didnt receive any call from airtel. Next day I again called up the call center and told the executive to give their managers number. She gave me the number. I had a talk with their manager and after explaining him every thing I was told that line will be activated by 18:30 hrs in the evening.
Just as expected nothing changed phone was still not working. Suday morning I again called the manager but he disconnected the line. After failing several times to talk to him I decided to cancel the connection and placed a request again to cancel the connection.
Today is monday and here I am writing this experience of mine and shraing it with you people.
After talking to Call center executives and managers for more than 170 minutes and making in total more than 8 requests my phone and broadband is still not working.
Airtel clearly provides no training to their customer service executives and I feel there should be only one point of contact for one customer, everytime explaining the problem to a new executive is very difficult.
Only thing I want to say is that
SH*T IS WHAT PEOPLE ARE DOING IN AIRTEL AND SH*T IS WHAT THEY ARE SERVING
