Ive a subscription for max150GB with monthly rental over Rs. 2, 000. On April 28th 2012, the connection went dead while I was on video chat. I immediately called CC and they registered complaint no. 15010766 and assured that connection will be restored by 10:30 am the next day. Next day, their executive shows up in the afternoon, checked the cable near their box and identified a loose/ damaged cable problem. According to him, the issue was minor and could be fixed by evening, but that day being Sunday, the rectification would be carried out on Monday. That Monday hasnt come yet, and Im calling customer care over 5 or 6 times a day. Meanwhile, they escalated my case and registered another complaint no. 15032016. One week has passed since the connection went dead and Airtel hasnt been able to fix the problem. It seems that either their backend team (or is it a team that works from back-hole?) is incompetent or much worse, Airtel is used to robbing people on monthly basis.
I wish this country had serious customer greivance redressal rules and thugs like Airtel could be fined heavily for cheating customers.
