I like to share my experience with airtel broadband with the member of this blog community.
I am currently using the tata indicom internet broadband connection.I opted for 24 hrs always online connection, I got the conncetion from tata indicom, Intially the connection worked for round the look, after a few months the internet will connect only for 3 hrs per day and most of the time the connection is down.But they will send the bill amount correctly.
I live in chennai near to nanganallur, So I looked for other internet service provider, I came to know about the airtel is providing 24 hrs always online internet connection with a land line phone.I called the customer number that they have mentioned in their website (this is before three years).What they told is, that the connection is not feasible in my area of residence.
Actually I live in palavanthangal, which is just 100meters near to nanganallur, In nanganallur the airtel is providing the connection , but they say it is not fesible to extend the connection just 100meters.All this happened before three years.Tata indicom, BSNL are providing internet connection in our area, but I am surprised with the airtel , why they cannot able to provide connection.
In 2006 this december(dec 2), I called the customer care again to know whether they have extended the connection to my area, the customer care number is 044-42112345, there is no one to pick up the phone, there is a ring tone about the airtel playing all time, but no body is picking up the cutomer care number(I tried all day long).I am one of the many customer who are looking for airtel connection, But there is no response from their side.I am surprised such a very big player in Telecom sector is having a POOR customer care, and airtel is not hearing the needs of the customer.Being like this will never improve the company performance in future.First hear the customer needs!!!.
They say, they have laid cables alround the city of chennai, cant they lay cables to palavanthangal which is 100meters near by to nanganallur?
I am also thinking of this, even if we got connection in future, if we have any problem with the connection, and there will be a situation to call their customer care, which is going to be a BIG head ache to solve the problem, because they are never going to pick up the phone, and the problem will never be solved so soon!!.
