The worst ever service from anybody

I took an Airtel DTH connection on 7th April. I had a Tatasky connection where the service was so excellent, but hardly any Malayalam Channels. Actually they reduced the channels from 7 to 4, that is the reason for shifting to Airtel DTH.


From day 1 my experience is so horrible that I feel like  disconnecting the service. I wanted Magnum package, the technician who came, fixed the dish and collected the money converted to South Ultra - Kannada on his own. While fixing the dish and giving connection they damaged my doors / showcase. They were totally unprofessional.


On 7th we got the connection after waiting for almost 8 hours, though the technician promised that it will come in one hour. Then realized that they have changed the package without my consent. The entire day I was trying to contact their customer care center. After almost 8 hours of wait I could get somebody on line and when told about the fauxpas, he said that I have to wait for one month. After 2 days or so with much difficulty got it changed to South Ultra - Malayalam. By this time everybody at home was so frustrated.


Whenever you call their customer care number 080 4444 8080, you have to wait for almost 10 minutes and ultimately the line just get disconnected. Whether it is early morning, afternoon, evening or late night, whether weekday or holidays. Today after completion of one month I wanted to change the package to Magnum, I am trying the number from 10.30 pm onward and now it is 11.45 pm. But absolutely no use, you hear the recorded voice for almost 10 minutes and then line get disconnected. I had never faced this issue with my previous service provider - one call and the problem is solved in few seconds.


Is there nobody in the company to whom we can complain. Are there no authority to check such absurd service levels of so called largest corporation. Is it because of such behavior the company is into so many issues/troubles today.


For heaven’s sake please don’t buy Airtel DTH connection, even if it comes to you free. I had interacted with so many service providers but this is totally frustrating & disappointing. I have paid the annual subscription fees and struck for one year now.


Only god can help me now.
