I had purchased Airtel DTH on 27th Aug and the person who sold it to me was a Airtel Sales agent Sanjay Shah. He bugged me and called me atleast 10 times on 27th and persuaded me to buy the connection.
I made the payment and he promised the Mega pack + Hd channels free for one yr+ Two regional top ups free.
After that began my battle of contacting the sales team for installation #12148. I called them and asked for installation and after a follow up of 4 days finally the airtel DTH was installed on 1st Sep. Their promise of installation in 48 hours is fake.
Also the sales agent are very rude, its as if they are doing us a favor by listening to our complaint.
So after the DTH was installed for the past 2 daysI have not been getting all the channels promised and when I called the customer care they informed me that there are no top ups added for the regional channels. So here it goes I have been cheated for the top ups as well.
The main purpose of buying the HD box was to have HD channels and since Sales agent Sanjay told that with the package all the HD channels and free for 1 year. Again duped. I called the customer care and confirmed they told me that my package did not have HD channels service and I would have to subscribe for it. Again I really dont know why I paid 5200 for the box and connection.
I would like to tell everyone please be careful and take down the number of the sales agent who calls you cuz once you have done the payment he is gone and you are left to the mercy of the customer care number and that’s not helpful. Its a total waste of money.
Please don’t fall prey to the false promises made. I hope this review is useful for all those who plan to buy Airtel DTH.

Hi All,
An update on the above issue and complaints.
I had written to Airtel digital TV and after 3-4 days I received their reply and call and they asked me exactly what the Sales agent had promised me and told they will do what they can.
I had no expectation from them but yesterday finally they gave me all the channels which was promised. All my HD channels are active and they also gave me the marathi and Telugu channels which I was promised. The quality of the HD channels is really very good.
Finally I feel like somewhere justice was done.
But again the pain which I had to go through for the entire 2-3 weeks to follow up with them was the worst experience ever and would reccommend all to still think before switching to Airtel DTH.
