When I bought Airtel Digital 3 years ago The installation procedure was so smooth. I was not very interested in it and just wanted 9xm for my kid which was coming free on dd+ but I was peddled so got the smallest pack.
and then the problems started.
I got a very good scheme of 2 months free on 12 months subscribed to that. After a few months, I was happy to see Airtel DTH had added some new channels on my pack on same rates but those channels where not viewable on my connection. I called the Customer service and they told me those channels cannot be added to my pack as I have a 14 month contract with them. If I wanted those channels I have to cancel my subscription and get a new pack which is of same rate. But there will be no refund on the remaining subscription.
I was stuck with the pack for 14 months I could not upgrade / downgrade add free channels.
Some how the 14 months finished I shifted to monthly plan.
I added some add-on channels, after seeing that those channels where added free of cost on a new pack I got that pack activated. and asked for my add-on packs to be deactivated.
After some time I see that those add-on packs where not deactivated, when I asked them to deactivate and give my money back they said the money can not be refunded as they have already shown me the channel. Then they shifted to a new satellite and switched off some channels which where on the pack.
Frustrated with daily addition of channels, I asked them which pack should I take they told me to get the ultra pack and the problem will get solved.
Upgraded to Ultra pack, again they added some channels which became add-on on my pack for 50 rs. I paid 50 bucks for the new channels and asked why they said they have started a new plan for people like us. A magnum Pack Worth 563+ taxes for all the SD channels and the biggest joke is it is not available on there website, and after few months they started a new ultra pack with those channels in it.
Now since April 10th, I am making a complaint that airtel DTH is starting on channel 100 and not on the channel I left it on and at that time they told me it was an error and they where working on it I kept up the followup and today they told me it is a feature and they can take only take feedback for that.
Hope you all understood what I blabbered.
So if you do not want to blabber like me and have a lot of time to be on there website and lots of time to get your packs activated and deactivated. and a lots of money for SD channels only around 600 bucks per month go for Airtel if you cannot find other operator go for Airtel.
Please tell me too if there is a cheaper alternative. I have taken a second connection of Videocon D2H which is under 400 for HD channels also.
