I am appalled that prospective customers are furnished misleading & incorrect information by their website & customer care. Newbies are not aware that when subscribing for a HD set top box, the minimum package is Rs. 500 pm(per month). Before taking the connection I saw the package details, top ups & confirmed with sales or customer service team to see if I could take a base pack+ top up as shown on the website with my HD set top box. They said yes.
After the initial promotional offer period, when I tried to recharge, the packages start at~ Rs.500 pm. The minimal normal monthly pack on the website is shown as Rs. 150 pm with the information that it is not available for HD set top box, but not so for South Value Sports, South Economy Sports Plus etc. So people presume the minimum package is Rs. 235 pm(for South Value Sports). Frustratingly, as a result, they are forced to pay an extra Rs.250 pm.
When I called the customer care now from my registered mobile, I am told that option is not there for HD set top box.Before taking the connection, while weighing up options, I compared with other service providers & still thought this was economical, without knowing that were such hidden tactics at play.
