I have Airtel from last 5 months. And 2 times the remote has stopped working. I think this is some scam. The service center sends a guy to repair it. They say give us old remote, and sell a new one for 150 Rs. If you don’t want to give old one but still want to buy the new remote, the charge is 250 Rs. you cannot repair the remote.
When my remote stopped working I asked him to reprogram it. But he didn’t do it. This is a strategy by them. If you drop the remote lightly, all programming goes blank. But they tell you that remote is damaged and buy new one. They don’t reprogram it.
The set top box buttons also get stuck if you try to change channels from that. It is a very low quality set top box.
Airtel reception is poor in cloudy days, stormy days and rainy days. They harass you for recharging 1 week before your balance expires. They show a message on your screen to block the view!
There is no package lower than Rs. 230 and I am not clear how much I am billed and for what package.
