My Airtel DTH stopped working after cyclone in Chennai. I raised a complaint for it on 17th Dec 2016 . Complaint number: 57526613.
I waited for few days thinking that because of cyclone there would have been a lot of connectivity issues. I followed up multiple times post 17th Dec with Customer care over phone and email but no resolution of problem and no one even came to check the issue.
After being fed up by the inefficiency of airtel dth, I finally asked the customer care to cancel my connection as I do not have any interest in continuing the services from them. The customer care person said that he will raise a ticket but I did not receive any confirmation.
Finally on 25th Dec I receive a call from a airtel dth executive(9952951890) that he is coming to fix the dth. I though about giving a final chance to Airtel DTH. The person showed that dish is broken and he needs 1150 to replace its parts and he will bring the parts in the evening and will fix it.
I paid him 1150 rupees but when I asked for a receipt then he said that all the receipt books are over and he will give a receipt on blank paper in the evening when he will come to fix the dth.
That person started making excuses after that and is avoiding my calls sine then. I complained with airtel dth customer care as well but they seem to be indifferent and infact promoting this behaviour by not taking any action against their employees fradulent behaviour. There must be other cases like this since the person was so confident in conducting fraud and was not even afraid of actions from his company.
I have registered a complaint with police now. Let us hope that I get my money back.
