Airtel cheated me, thanks to porting option

Airtel cheated me, thanks to porting option, I’m moving to Docomo


I’ve been an Airtel customer for nearly 5 years. I usually spend around 2.5k of currency per month so totally I would’ve spent 1, 50, 000rs of Airtel currency. But my experience with Airtel has been horrible.


I can tolerate signal problems, I can tolerate high charge rates but I can’t tolerate cheating. Yes, Airtel has cheated me. Not just once or twice but many times. It changes tariff plans without asking or informing. I get to know only after loosing all currency.


I’ve complained to customer care many times but I get only reference numbers and nothing happens even if I call them back to check the status of complaints. Instead, they have blocked entry into customer care from mobile number i.e., if I dial customer care number from my SIM and try to reach a customer care executive, it says "please dial 123# for checking balance, thank you, bye" but if I dial customer care number from my friend’s mobile, I can reach an executive. All these have made me hate Airtel so I’m moving to Docomo.


I don’t care about Docomo’s signal problem or any other thing, if any, as long as they don’t cheat and as far as I’ve heard, they are sincere, not like Airtel.



So, my advice to all who are looking at porting options:


If you are currently with Airtel and not looking at porting options, track your charging, know how you are getting cheated and move to other service provider


If you are currently with some other serive provider and are thinking about porting to Airtel, then hold on, don’t do that blunder.



Airtel, if you want to know who is this frustrated(ex) customer, then just check who lodged the complaints one of which has the following reference number:
