I had purchased a Post paid connection from Air tel as I work for Software company. initially there were trouble regarding the 3G pack and was getting overcharged for 3500 and after a big fight with the customer care rep and managers of the floor they waived off the Charges. Everything was fine and suddenly after 1 month I got a SMS stating I need to clear2500 rs of my old number by tomorrow else this number will be bared. to be frank I had used Vodafone connection for the past 5 yrs and never used airtel and I was curious to know what was the issue. I had called the customer care and informed them about the same but after 4 hrs my number was barred and later I started to get calls on my Vodafone number about the amount due.
I tried explaining them I had taken only one connection in air tel and the same is bared now. They are charging extra for the current number as well with rental for 2 months extra. I never thought airtel will cheat like this. I checked the Other number details via one of my friend who works in airtel call center and to my surprise I had taken the airtel connection on 29th Sep 2011 and the number which was said amount due was taken on 27th Sep 2011. I had given by doc to the air tel Rep on 25th sep2011 for the connection .
Till now I have not received any answers to my question which I had asked to the Air tel team.
1) I took one connection and how can another connection be taken on my name the day before.
2) Docs are being mis-used by the rep.
Now I m happy with Tata docomo who give me a proper plan and service.
