Airel have mastered the art of cheating the customers very well.
Here is a case study.
I have 2 numbers with airtel. Unfortunately my house is in a network black spot area. So I dont get proper signal when at home. I have started to live with it and all my complaints for past 1 year went to deaf ears.
I decided to temporarily deactivate one of my number and use if again when needed. So asked for Safe custody for 90 days. The customer service ppl aggreed to it over mail. But they deactivated the number and made it into prepaid without my knowledge. When I came to know of this, they insisted that I requested for prepaid activation, though I have email proof that I requested safe custody.
I asked them to make it back to postpaid. Now they wanted me to pay security deposit again and give all documents and ID proof all over again. They have not yet returned by previous security deposit till date.
The SIM is also not activated as prepaid. So I asked them activate it. Again they want my document and photo to activate it and also pay an amount for activation. So right now my number is neither prepaid nor postpaid. Its just an inactive SIM card. I have lost my deposit and to get the numbers activated again I have to pay again. All for no mistake of mine.
