Atrocious Customer Service

I have been a loyal Airtel customtakeouter for the last 10 odd years and have been using Airtel Mobile, Airtel Broadband and Airtel DTH. Even though Airtel charges a premium as compared to other service provider, the only reason I opted for Airtel was because of their superior customtakeouter service. But it seems like its not superior any more, infact as per my experience I think it may be the worse as of today.


Since September last year, I have been calling the Airtel DTH customtakeouter to realign my dish to their new Satellite, but the request has not yet been processed. A simple request of realigning the dish direction cannot be serviced in a period of 1 year - it is so atrocious that it has now become a funny case! As of today, I’m not getting quite a few channels because they are only available on the new satellite but am still being charged for the same.


The only reason, why I stuck for so long was because it prepaid for 6 months and having experienced the "reliable" service of Airtel, I wasn’t going to bank on Airtel to return my money in case I had disconnected the service sooner. But now the moment of liberation has arrived - my account is getting exhausted on 16th August and I will be liberated from Airtel on that day. It does sound a bit poetic, doesn’t it - 15th August is Independence Day and I’ll be getting free again on 16th August!


I hope you don’t take this note as a rant of a frustrated(even though I’m one right now) customtakeouter, but as an explanation of why Airtel’s customtakeouters are vanishing and profits are dipping and figure out ways to fix these issues before Airtel suffers a meteoric fall far steeper than its meteoric rise.
