I have a prepaid SIM, number 9611262423.
All was well for nearly a year and I was happy with my call charges, free SMS service.
Now
28th December onward:
- Automatic activation of "Talk-to-me" Service(15 Rupees for 15 days!)
- Automatic activation of "Kanada service pack"(1 rupee/day)
- First 2 SMS 1 rupee next 200 Free SMS changed to 1 rupee / SMS
- Call charges 50 paise other networks, 30 paise Airtel changed to 1.2 paise/ second(I even get notification frequently saying its a bonus pack! (wtf! 72 paise / minute is bonus? makes me wonder)
- I try to call customer service, takes me in circles on voice operator with no option to talk to customer service representative!
Moral:
Airtel has started the "SPICE" style of scamming. BEWARE!
This will be my last month using Airtel service!(till my prepaid balance gets used up - unfortunate but have to use up the 200 rupees I recharged.) My trust and love for Airtel is shattered!
I cant believe Airtel would do such a thing after being market leader. disheartening.:(
