I was prepaid user of mobile services first for around 3 years and now a post-paid since last one year. Here the saga goes In blatant violation of the consumerism, Airtel is cheating its most loyal customers, i.e. its post paid users.
Recently it launched Airtel One scheme with lower tariffs and prepaid customers were subscribed to it by default whereas for the Post paid customers who will naturally have more usage and benefit more form scheme, are asked to Pay Rs. 200 as migration charges by coming at their collection centers. Prepaid customers are being offered free SMS while Post paid are being charged.
I took the connection a year back thinking It will be cheap for me considering my usage but I realised just after I took the scheme the tariffs were raised and I was caught.........considering a person cant change his number frequently specially high usage customers this service providers are playing game with them.
- How does free sms to pre paid while not offering the same to post paid can be justified????
- When I took the scheme they said your CLI is free, next bill stated that we have started charging it???? Ha ha.......
- One day I thought of lodging an online complaint - what can I expect, the message bounced back??? What a hoax in the name of customer service
- Whatever credit limit they set - ones it crosses they call u and say to deposit the money and expect one top pay same day??? Does people does not have nay other work in this world than paying Airtels Bill???? and after I have been their customer since last one year and never ever delayed payment
- Suppose they set ur Credit Limit at Rs.1500 (by whatever formula they must have devised). Ur avg monthly bill is 1100. The payment date of bill is 20th of next month. By 12-13th of the next month, ur bill shoots above Rs. 1500 and they start calling u to pay. What the hell will I pay early when my due date is 20th? Okie Even if I am ready to pay, I should pay my last month?s bill that is Rs.100. But what u will hear saying them that U have to pay Rs. 1600, the billing till date.
- And here is more to come, 24 hr customers service. One day when I tried calling it at 11:00 pm , what the message said. The dialed number is not in the network
Gr8 Mr. Mittal. Kudos for setting such a Big network. But it is not always about size. Form last one year I have hated this service just bcos of all this troubles. I know Hutch customers they are much more satisfied.
Why on hell I can?t get my scheme changed on phone when it is cheaper for me.
Just debit that charges form my account. If the scheme is good (expensive for customers) for Airtel it will change this on its own, but not otherwise. Long live Service providers.......Customers can Never be the king
