I am using Airtel Magic Delhi connection. The biggest problem is the signal strength.
I get 1-3 bars in my motorola phone and same in my samsung phone in my home on other hand with Hutch I have 4-5 signals all the time. Hence with Airtel, the voice keeps on breaking and more dropped calls and hence higher bills.
The problem is there in my college campus (Maulana Azad Medical College) complex as well.Hutch is better there as well.......hence the 2 main places where I stay.....Airtel has proms with signal strength.
As a result more and more of my friend in my college have quit Airtel and r now opting for Hutch or Trump
The only good thing I found with Airtel is free Masala Services via GPRS...that’s why I am staying with them....when they make it paid......i will surely quit.
The Customer care is quick to connect thru but all of them r confused......they give different accounts of same thing......and if u have to get some facility activated.like for example masala....then it takes god’s time. They said it would be done by 72hrs max........after 7 days there was no response....although it was activated.....they never sent me settings. So I copied settings manually from my friends phone
If I have to rate GSM cell service providers in Delhi.....i wud give
1) Hutch
2) Trump
3)Airtel
4) Idea( even worse signal than airtel)
I think Airtel really needs to improve upon the signal strength in weak areas otherwise it will slowly lose it’s customer base
