Res Sir/Mam,
We are an IT company based in Chennai and we have taken 7 groups mobile
connections from Airtel (9940009509 - 9940009515). And while booking
for these line we we informed by your company personal that it is a 199
plan where we have to pay Rs. 199 as monthly rental and we get
unlimited CUG free, 100 SMS and 100 local calls free and other local
calls will be charged at the rate of Rs.0.50p per min. and when we
received the welcome call for these numbers also we were confirmed that
the local call rates will be Rs.0.50p per min.
But when we received our bill the call charges for the above numbers
have been calculated/charged at the rate of Rs. 1.00p per min.
When we contacted your airtel customer service by dialing 121 on 6th
march 5.45 one Mr. Balakumar Exec of your company took the call and
later forwarded the same to one Mr. karthik Sr. Exec of your company
but no solution was provided immediately.
Later when we called you 121 customer service number on 15th march 2007
one Ms. Raji attended the call and since she too was unable to give any
solution gave us a service request number 11757052.
On 16th and or 17 the March 2007 we again called 121 service and
enquired about the above service request and one Mr. Prabu exec who was
unable to resolve the problem transfered the call to his floor manager
Mr. S. Inbaraj on the same day at around 5:20 in the evening and he
after getting the details from us said he will personally call us in
this regard and also gave a NDR number 642538.
But till 20th march 2007 no folowp was done and we again had to call
your 121 service around 5o clock in the evening and around 5:40 PM the
above mentioned floor Manager after making checks from his side
acknowledged that the agents from Airtel India have indeed give a false
and misleading commitment of Rs.0.50p per min instead of the original
Rs.1.00p per min scheme for 199 plan and said that he will try to give
a resolution at the earliest.
But nothing happened.
Again on 27/03/2007 our numbers got disconnected even though a NDR
number was given from your side and we had to call 121 service to
reactivate the same and hade to obtain a service request number
417111992 & 417112015 from your exec Ms. Hemalatha at around 9:40
am.
and the resolution for the request no 11757052 was not provided to us
till 7/4/2007 and we had to call you 121 service again on 7/4/2007 by
4:25 pm where one Ms. Nithia CRO too the call and told that she would
inform Mr. S. Inbaraj and ask him to give a call back. But when I
informed her that we are going to take legal action for the misleading
informations provided by your company and the amount beng bill in
excess of the amount actually committed by your company while boooking
for the same. and took her staff number 15520 foir reference. In the
mean time the call was transfered to the floor manager of your company
Mr. S Inbaraj who said that the service request is closed and he cannot
do anything even though he acknowledged the fault on the side of the
company which has given a false promise while boooking the connections.
So I requested him to provide his staff number for reference in the
legal nitoce for which he directly refused and also refused our request
to give the details and contact adress of the person to whom the legal
notice is to be served. He also refused to take a request from our side
to give a copy of the 121 incomming calls recoreded from your company
side which is the only proof to show that your company persons have
given a false and misleading commitment and we are being made as scape
goats to pay higher charges than the one committed by your company
staff.
And later on the same day at around 5:25 pm I made another call to 121
and one Mr. Sudarsan V took the call and he too refused to give any
detials as requesyed above other than the info that the complaint can
be made through 121@airtelindia.com. and also refused to give a request
number for the same.
As such you company has been providing false and misleading
informations with regards to the service and we are being made as scape
goats and are made to pay higher charges than the one committed by your
company and your company has also not cared to resolve the same but are
directly refusing to resolve the dispute as well. As such it is
requested to solve the excessive billing and provide us with a written
appology for all the above acts of your company along with a
compensation of Rs. 1, 00, 000/- within 15 days of receipt of this email
failing which a consumer case will be filed immediately for giving
false and misleading information, over billing, refusal to redress the
grievances, refusal to provide adiquate information, delibrate delay in
redressal of grievance requests, causing inconvenince during the course
of services by delaying tackticks etc.
This is for your kind information and necessary action within 15 days please.
