I have been using Pre-paid Airtel connection for quite some time and I feel that with passing time charges and billing rates for Airtel have consistently gone up.


I am pointing out few negative aspects of Airtel service provider here:




  1. Highest Call charges : As compared to other GSM operators Airtel is charging highest call rates. In many cases Rs.1 per min and in rest 60 paise per min. We dont feel the pinch coz we get our phones recharged to Free A-A mins




  2. Charges for Customer Care: Airtel has started charging Rs. 0.50 per 3 mins for every interaction with customer care executive. It does not matter if matter pertains to deficient service on part of Airtel.




  3. Inefficient Service: Service standards of Airtel have gone down with time. I got my mobile recharged for Rs.98 and got 1 GB of internet surfing free. However I was amazed to find out that Rs. 90 had been deducted for downloading application on my Android phone. I have registered 3 complaints with Airtel. They note down the complaint and close the case on pretext that they gave a call but we did not pick up the phone. I am spending money everytime to register a complaint, then on knowing the status of complaint. It is simply ridiculous.






4, Unreachable Customer Care: Worst part is even after you are willing to spend Rs. 0.50 for interaction with CCE Airtel does not allow you. I faced a severe prob when I was unable to reach CCE on pressing 9. Every time I was told to get in touch by dialing*121# etc with Airtel


On personal front Vodafone is providing a good service.


BSNL is sarkari company and provinding services at rock bottom rates which we dont know like B-B STD at 20p or B-B free calling, Rs.89 for 2 GB net etc


For unlimited STD calling TATA Indicom./ Reliance CDMA are best.
