Unsolicited sms

Off late I have been hearing all over the media (TV and written) people and "judges" saying unsolicited calls and sms from Service providers is going to stop. I need to understand when is it happening? Here’s my experience with Airtel just now:I got a sms from airtel stating some SMS scheme with some discounted prices. This is not the first time I have received such sms or calls. I have repeteadly sent the "STOP" sms to the numbers from where I receive these calls/sms’s.

Today I sent a sms to 666 stating "stop", to my surprise this SMS was charged 3rs! and I received a message from 666 stating "not found".I am not aware, but I can comfortably assume, that my previous sms’s, which evidently did not have any effect because the calls are still coming, have been charged too. Lately Bharti posted "fantastic" results on the boards. Now we all know where are all the profits coming from.Well, all I can say is:You can fool everybody for some time, you can fool some for all the time, but you can not fool everybody for all the time.I am most pissed with the TRAI and the judges. When they know this is happening, WHY WHY do they need time till April to stop this "FRAUD". OR are they party to this fraud?

And as far as judges are concerned, we all know what happened to enron in Maharashtra, after the judge pronounced a "stay" on the company and decided to fight the case first. Today, after so many years of fighthing the case and when the entire state is suffering 3hours of blackout every practical day, NOW they are talking about reviving enron. I have a bigger question, WHEN WILL THE MEDIAS CAMERA BE ALLOWED IN THE COURT ROOM?

Back to Bharti, When and WHO will stop this fraud company from looting the common man and posting GREAT results?Jai Bharat.----------Added later on--------------...taking my main post further...This stupidity dosnt seem to be stopping very soon. Lets understand why:1. There is a exorbutent amount of money which has to be paid to the government to get a service providers lisence.2. The government has demarked the areas where a given operator can play.

These two points are a direct Entry Barriers for new players. The result, it indirectly promots, wholehartedly I might add, monopolistic business practises.

Remember when MTNL was the only player, remeber the attitude of the babus and workers of MTNL? See what happened now when the market was opend for the private players. Now u go to MTNL for a new connection, see how they treat you now. The physical red carpet is only missing, else their attitude towards customers has changed dramatically. "Threat" is a motivatior.

Why is the government not making other players entry to the service provider business EASY?

And I rest my case.
