Hi Everyone,
I have been using Airtel broadband since the time when they used to provide ADSL connection. After that the connection was upgraded to V-fiber.
A couple of months ago, I have taken one more internet connection from Airtel and this one is FTTH.
The package which I have opted is for 100 mbps.I get a download and upload speed of about 115-120 Mbps, all te time.I have checked with various servers across the globe. The latency is very less and jitter is either zero or something that tends to zero.
The router provided with this connection supports dual band and the WiFi range is terrific.
Airtel also provides unlimited calling facility across the nation at no extra cost.I have bought a landline phone and simply connected it to the router.
The installation was done promptly and the technicians came down within 24 hours of raising the request on their website.
I have been using Airtel broadband for a different location since 2012.I must say that the downtime is almost zero and incase there is any service issue, they resolve it promptly.
Most of the changes in the package can be done from app/website. The app also has a feature to diagnose the issue and if required a Service Request is automatically raised by the app.
Before you plan to get Airtel Xstream, please ask whether they can provide truly fiber ( FTTH) or would that be a V-fiber ( copper connection) .
One can check on their website whether Fiber connection is available for them or not.If they say that its going to be a copper connection, dont take it.
The drawback of copper connection is that you can get somewhere in between 25 mbps and 40 mbps as download speed however the upload speed will be about 5 mbps.
My overall experience with Airtel Xstream Fiber has been awesome.I did not experience a single downtime for the internet connection which I have taken a couple of months ago, yet.
