Corruption!
The roots of corruption have spread deep inside the hallowed corridors of our armed forces. That is what the film tries to depict. Unfortunately the director known for his gripping films, fails to deliver with Aiyaary.
The story is told in flashback and we have flashback in flashback. Half the time the audience is guessing what time is shown on the screen.
The story revolves around two army officers. One goes rogue because of being shattered by the corruption in the army and joins the opposite side. The other officer mission is to catch him. So the game of cat and mouse begins.
When the credits starts rolling after 160 minutes, the audience is flabbergasted. A thriller that was vacuous. An effort that was wasted!
