Hi All, Ajay Jadeja. Hmmn...the name itself invokes some kind of strength in me. I dont know what he has done behind the scenes. But, on the ground, he has always been a delight to watch. Whether he is batting, fielding or bowling, he has done everything in his own inevitable style.
BATTING SKILLS : He is one player who plays every ball effortlessly and makes cricket look so simple. Whatever may be the situation is, he has always handled it with smiles. Once, he was batting, he came on front-foot to hit the ball and seconds before he sensed that he may not be able to hit the ball and observed that the ball was going to the leg side and he stretched his right foot swiftly to avoid the ball reaching keepers gloves lest he may be stump out. At that time, the commentator was Geoffrey Boycott, who was very much surprised and praised him for his cleverness.
BOWLING SKILLS : He is a part time bowler. But, whenever he bowled he made a difference in the entire cricket team. I still remember when he took 3 wickets in very little span against Pakistan and that turned the match in for India. If he was not shattered with the betting scam then surely he would have been Indian captain.
FIELDING SKILLS : I dont need to say anything in this matter. The more I say the less it will be. He is one of the best fielders of his time along with Azharuddin. I can never forget the catch he took in the 1992 world cup where he came running far from the deep and his eyes were just concentrating on the ball like a scanner. You know what, he was just a substitute fielder then. I saw the thirst in his eyes for making it big and he made it. His Life Time Achievement : Getting world cup for India under his captaincy. Surprised! Well, he did that. Believe me, I am not lying. Do not want to keep you all under more suspense. He did that for Indian (Under -19) cricket team.
