I lives in Kandivali, and this beach is near Malad, it is not exactly in Malad but you can go through Malad, that is the best route for me so I can not mention any other option(as I know about other option, but due to I never referred that, that’s why I don’t want to misguide you).
You can get buses from Malad.There is not any bus available direct from Kandivali.If you chose auto rickshaw the bill will be nearly 150-170.
I have many times visited this place, this place is good for getting peace,
the sunset is very beautiful.If you are visiting this beach then please go at evening so that you will be able to see sunset.
There are many stalls available, all are for snacks, but the prices are too high.like nearly 10x of the actual price.
There you will find couples only, but that’s ok, there are many spots which are not good to visit as they are popular for prostitutes.
If you are visiting there with family then can seat there and cheet chat for some time, have a great time, If you are visiting there with friends then you might be like to go into water but that is not recommended.Because the water is polluted.
There are many cases happened about quicksand and there is not a single life guard.
So it’s a strong recommendation for everyone that please don’t go into water.
On my personal opinion I would recommend to go to this beach with family only.
