Well, my first phone was an alcatel one touch db and even in those early days of cellular telephony it used to get offended stares from users of more upmarket phones.
Well, thats not the phone Im complaining about, since it served me faithfully for 3 years before (literally) breaking down. Banging the phone hard on irritating sales people mustve done it :)
Now, I aint one of those guys who feel the need to flash the latest style in mobile telephony. Im one of those dulln boring types who use the phone for, what else, phone calls, and the occasional SMS. Ok, ok, Ill admit I use mine for the occasional game, too. But thats about it. And since my first phone didnt have any games, that kept life pretty simple.
So this phone was quite ok, if as handsome as a stegosaurus and dating back to the same era. The sound was ok and woo-hoo, it also had hands-free as in a speaker phone in those ancient days.
But the phone Im really complaining about is a replacement Alcatel that was quite terrible. The voice broke, calls got disconnected and it would have cost more to repair than to throw it away. Although a better looking version, slimmer and much lighter, it didnt make much sense since it didnt work well.
So out it went and I made the decision never again to buy another Alcatel phone.
