My first personal car and my first personal mobile was french. I mean from a french manufacturer.
I bought my Alcatel from a local dealer in Dubai at half the price when most of the other companies were charging just double for the same kind of features. Honestly Alcatel was then not a choice but the budget. Later I realised it was a good deal and it had all the good features one is looking for. Reception was excellent. Famous Shindaga tunnel of Dubai where most of the other brands would fail to operate Alcatel was still talking. This I am talking about 1998. My phone was also doing double duty I mean I would use it in the day time and my 1 yer old son then in the second shift. It never failed me. U wont belive after usingit for two years I gifted the phone to a relative in India and it is still going strong.
Finally not everything French is good. never ask what happened to my french sleek beuty (My peageut 405 car). It just caught fire for no fault of mine. and within five minutes it was in ashes. This happened while I had just started fresh in the morning from home. I still carry the news paper cutting. abt this french beuty.
