Title : Alitalia AZ770 Mumbai - Milan - Mumbai
Review : I had recently traveled by Alitalia to Dusseldorf via Milan. I will try to give readers a feeling of services being offered to me during my flight. Flight Travelled : AZ 770
Mumbai Airport
The staff at Mumbai airport was extremely efficient. Especially the manner in which they were managing the queues. There was only a single queue and passengers were guided to next free counter. This avoided chaos.. as it is normally seen the queue in which you are not standing always moves faster.
Milan Airport
I found the staff not been very keen to help the fellow passengers flying with Alitalia. At few occasions they were busy chatting with themselves and had little concern for passengers.
In all I definitely feel that Alitalia should look into this matter seriously. The conduct of all its staff be it Inflight or on airport desires a lot of improvement. They have to realize that every passenger has paid money while traveling and they to expect the warmth and kindness as offered by any other international airliner.
Aircraft
The aircraft was okay. I guess an old Boeing aircraft. the seats were okay and leg space just enough. The aircraft was though clean. The rest rooms although didn’t seem so clean. Interiors looked outdated.
There were no personal TVs . TVs are placed at strategic locations to enable all passengers to view. Frankly the type of in-flight entertainment is fairly poor. There is neither any Indian music channel nor any other interesting channel for you to hear / view.
While flying from Milan to Dusseldorf we traveled on a 45 seater aircraft from Embraer the aircraft was a very small and had a very limited space for cabin luggage.
In-Flight Services
Now if any of you are expecting young beautiful girls as air hostess you will be fairly disappointed. Almost on both the occasion the In-flight crew was aged. They looked tired, were not dressed that neatly and lacked the grace that we expect from an Air-Steward. They are not very keen to answer to your requests. But I don�t blame them for that. There is a lot of unrest in Alitalia after its management expressed desire to cut around 2500 jobs. In all the staff definitely didn�t match the standards of even local operators like Jet Airways.
Food
Is a disappointment. Recommend fellow passengers not to board this flight on an empty stomach. You may have to actually land at your destination on a empty stomach.
While traveling from Milan to Dusseldorf which is about 1.45 hours they only serve you a piece of cake and tea/ coffee. Now this was strange. A flight time of 1.45 hours and so little been served.
Punctuality
The flight was very much on time. Infact we landed earlier than the anticipated time while returning from Milan. This is one thing I liked about the flight In all not a flight to take
