Literally meaning Eat after Work:)
All Stir Fry. Stirs your imagination, fries the cobwebs and makes you gulp the saliva back! Yes I am talking about what the name can do to you(Read Shanti’s Nameseek. You will know what I mean:) thanks Shanti).
Anyway, Colaba has its own charm which is not lost on any mumbaiite. The Stone walled buildings, heritage structure, Gateway of India, The Taj, and behind all this is situated Hotel Gordon House(Mars Grp of Hotel owned by Sanjay Narang) which houses All Stir Fry.
When you get in the hotel, you are greeted by a very smily doorman who will open the door for you and wish you the time of the day as well. The Concierge will help you through the rest. Just alongside the Concierge desk is the entry to All Stir Fry(ASF).
When you enter ASF you get the feeling of entering a modern day eatery where you have backless chair seating and a very dimly lit ambiance. When you are greeted by the captain and taken to your table you stare at the napkin which is black and which tucks in the chopsticks, forks, etc. Very neat indeed. If you really need a back rest you are provided with one. Needless o say that this place is a buzz of activity on weekends and also during week days. The entire seating is made to hasten the crowd to eat and go(strictly my observation). You have a wine list and also the iced teas, and of course the colas for the kids. The menu is not exhaustive but its interesting in terms of the variety offered to you(Chinese, Thai, Conti etc). Opt for the WOK.
The hotel houses a live kitchen and a live dim sum counter which allows you to order just what you like and the way you like. There is a very nice collection of veggies that you want(choice of 11) and Tofu(Veg Section), similar for the Non Veg but with chicken, fish, prawns etc. When you take your Wok bowl to the kitchen, the chef guides you through various sauces spicy, not so spicy, sweet n sour and you are now in the live kitchen watching your selection being cooked in front of you and handed to you piping hot to gobble. Believe me whatever you choose will taste great becoz their sauces are fantastic(not becoz your selection is good;). The best part is that it is not heavy on the wallet as well.
All stir Fry is a place where you can chill with the family and have fun birthday parties, or just gather around or hey celebrate your anniversary. Its a great place with great service attitude, great food and a great experience.
Whenever you are in Mumbai, or who are already in Mumbai try it once and I assure you you will be a fan. I am!
