U2 released their latest album Vertigo not so long back. Their last album All that you can’t leave behind’ released in 2000. This one for me was the best U2 album cuz all of the songs are just so like... U2! Yeah .. they set their own rules and standards n style n sounds. In Vertigo they have tried different sounds and it doesnt feel like U2 at times.
The title itself of the album is so interesting. If u listen to the song Walk on and Stuck in a moment, it emphasizes on leaving everything behind, to move on, to walk on.. and yet this title. Its like they know, its ’All that you can’t leave Behind’.
If I m asked to pick up a single song, it wud be like doing injustice to others. Bono has done some excellent work with https://lyrics. U2 lyrics have always had some message of sorts or take on religion and church or some similar hidden references and connotations. But here they have a different take. Infact I like the album more for its lyrics than its music.
In a little while is the first song I ever listened to from this album. and I kept listening for hours.. It starts with such a captivating peice of guitar.. At first I thot the lyrics were a bit weird for me, but then I read it somewhr that its about her daughter or somethin. I aint sure but that surely explains a lot.

Stuck in a moment is another favorite. Again out of the world https://lyrics. Everytime I listen to this one, it lifts my spirits. The song starts with the victim being ’I’ but soon it becomes ’You’.

Do I really have to say anything more about the lyrics here? If u start thinking about them, u will also get stuck in the moment thinking about them :) u can never get enuf of it. And u can relate to the lyrics so much! Many a times when we do get stuck in such moments, when all we need to do is move on but we just cant.. knowing it still. And then when u get to the last part of the song, its just a moment afterall.. it’ll pass.. its like u achieved nirvana finally!!
Walk On follows the same line of thought. It starts with some dialogue with music in background. And instantly it hits u. It gets ur attention like ’Wat the hell did he just say?’ cuz its jus so heavy in meaning.

And the feeling stays with u.. The feeling with which Bono sings the song. Puts everything in it. It completely drains me out.. gets me to that state of being comfortably numb.
Elevation is the most famous song of the album, understandably so cuz it was used in Tomb Raider. The video is quite interesting. Lyrically it doesnt get newhr on higher grounds (talkin about elevation :P) but this one song is just COOL!! its catchy and fast. Luv to sing along with it. And again the start hooks u up. the guitar is like giving off sparks! At one time time when the music stops and bono sings.. ’I believe in U’ simply amzing. u really want to sing this one on screaming on top of ur voice and I so much wish I was a singer with guitar in hand (he he). Its full of pure, unadultrated, energy.
Beautiful Day is another of the well known of U2 songs. oh I dint know I wud be exhausted till I get to this song :) But then its a beautiful day! one shot of the song and I m enthused enuf to write about it! Its kinda ironical song. Its like everythings going against u and suddenly u stil realize, its beautiful day! Its got this fast beat and u tug along with it. I really like the way it ends with

To rush thru the rest of the songs, I find Wild honey quite interesting. Again that longing feeling.. I know I can go on and on about the rest of them as well but mayb some othertime.. u guys get a break as well and get hold of these songs. I think if u appreciate lyrics along with music, this ones for u. But if u r a U2 fan, u dont need ne reason to buy it and if u arent, get this to become one.
