I have taken the 128 kbps unlimited connection from the alliance by connection charges Rs. 1700/- and also the adavnce first month Rs. 400/- charge.
But since I have taken the connection I had to called and gone to the local provider of alliance broadband, at least 20 times each month for different problems besides very low speed about 35 to 45 kbps instead 128 kbps.
After 4 months of connection they have sent their hardware engineer [I am really doubt on that as he does not even know he basic networking and Linux] again and change the port of the junction and at least login problem and connection problem almost gone and speed increases to about 65 to 70 kbps but still yet to get even 100 kbps.
I do not know why they cheating users / customers. May be we have no other way in this money 400/- @ month and most of us do not have land line phone to get the broad band connection from BSNL.
People can take their connection but has to be obeyed their speed half of they promised and at least 10 phone calles each month to their paid call center, they do not have any toll free nos. Also you have to rushes to their local provider and have to listen tha it is not their duty. As they tussel each other and you have suffer for their tug of war.
Not only that they will always tell and give all wrong to their counter part, local to service provider and vice versa.
Each and everyday I have to call them for even login purposes. They change there method of activation/ recharge each month. Sometimes recharge coupon sometimes they collected money directly through local agent.
Local agent / provider have no headech like the counter part. You have to spend at least 150/- each month for calling them. Many a times after evening you wont get the customer care either and after spending 2/3 calls you wont be able to talk to them as they are not available.
Now I have taken another connection for my office from Tata Broadband and it is good and value for money at least.
