It is a nice backwater type of place. Not really touched by the tourism industry so not always convenient to outsiders but in contrast food is better and cheaper, people are friendly and not afraid of strangers and are helpful/kind but you can see that there is a village bumpkin effect of unspoiled people.
There are 2 safaris available. One in the town at Bala Quila and another at Sariska. I dont know why they are not advertising the Bala Quila one as it is convenient and cheaper. We were totally unaware of it even after having studied all the tourism websites.
The Siriseh lake could be a very beautiful place but no attempt is being made to make it attractive.
The Sariska safari was a bit tiring, expensive but the outing did us much good spiritually.
The most beautiful palace that I have seen is totally junked by the govt offices made there which is very sad.
The roads definitely need attention.
