For the past few months, I’ve been making a lot of purchases from Amazon, one of the leading e-commerce sites in India. Though earlier my first preference of online shopping site used to be Flipkart, nowadays Amazon has slowly started taking this position.
I’ve purchased a wide variety of products from Amazon starting from high range electronic products to the simplest of things like a ruler or calculator. Here in my review, I’m going to list some of the best and worst aspects of shopping online via Amazon(in my opinion).
*Pros:*
Like most leading e-commerce sites, on Amazon too you will get to choose from a huge plethora of products at competitive prices.
Amazon offers its sale via desktop as well as mobile app.
For Amazon fulfilled orders, you get free delivery and also return and refund process are much simpler and faster when compared to their seller fulfilled orders
Their customer care service is also commendable. They were always to quick to respond to my queries whenever I had any issues.
Packaging has always been neat, secure and impressive.
Both online payment and COD options are available.
One also has the option to choose from various shipping speeds available but for an extra delivery charge. However, this feature is available only for selected cities and pin-codes.
*Cons:*
For qualifying as Amazon fulfilled orders, you need to make a minimum purchase of Rs.499/- which is not always possible. If your order does not satisfy the minimum order requirement, they charge you a nominal fee of Rs. 40/-.
Fast shipment but slow delivery. Many a times, delivery has been delayed on the pretext of delivering the item at incorrect courier facility. Of late, this has been happening a lot with me.
Overall I’m quite happy with the quality of their products and services. And I look forward to making more purchases through Amazon in near future.
