I bought a segate hard disk from Amazon India order no.:- 407-0607600-3897166 by paying in advance through net banking. The drive was suppose to be delivered on 12 th sep 18 but nobody contacted me or arrived at my house for the delivery. But even then I received the message that the order is delivered. I checked with my neighbors and society security if the delivery was taken by them and all of them said no. I immediately called amazon customer care to check to whom the delivery boy has given the package. To my surprise the amazon customer care executive said that they cant track this and maybe the delivery boy has incorrectly marked it as delivered and he will deliver it in next 24 hours. Since then I am daily following up with them about the order and they are giving false promises that it will be delivered in next 24 hours. Once I even chatted with their executive and he said that it will be delivered definitely on 14th sept by 8 pm its his promise and if it didnt arrive he will terminated for making false promise. But unfortunately the promise was fake again. I called again to their customer care and asked to talk with escalation manager. A lady named Neha again made a promise that a refund will be done by 15 sept and also mailed the same. But that also didnt happen instead on 16 sep I got a mail that I have to provide my aadhar pan and passport details to them for further investigation. I dont understand why they need my details if they say their delivery boy has marked it incorrectly delivered and if they think it is actually delivered then Ive asked them to provide me the name and signature of the person who received it so that I can check in my society. But they are not providing the name of the receiver also. They are not even telling me why they need my id card and because of no clarity from them now im more suspicious about it.
In the whole scenario Ive noticed that amazon guys are acting worse then government call center employees. Its all bureaucracy and no transparency .
Looks like Amazon forgot its core values of customer service or now they are just words with no value.
