I love shopping on Amazon. Their prices are usually the best, great deals, there’s a huge range of products in a category, reliable products, and transactions are super smooth, especially the returns. And the customer care is efficient, too. Don’t think I have bought so much stuff from any other site and of late I have only been buying from Amazon.in, especially electronics and other appliances.
I just have a BIG grouse against their delivery system and delivery guys. While the delivery is prompt, the bad attitude of the delivery guys is annoying to another level.
Once the guy called and confirmed my residential address to deliver a package and I waited to receive it before leaving for work. but then I receive an SMS that my request for a reschedule was confirmed:-/ The guy must have conveniently rescheduled it by himself and they said I sent a request. Lol.
This one delivery guy deserves an award, if there is one, in folly and rudeness. So, the charlie comes to our humble office and launches into a tirade - kaisa office hai? Yahan parking space nahi hai. Aapko kya hai? Aap toh reschedule karoge. Humein doosra chakkar kaatna padega. FTW? I think he expected a helipad and swagat satkaar. But, we are not villains of the 70s Bollywood films so the former was missing.
I have gone outside to pick up parcels because the delivery guy couldn’t find parking. It is so inconvenient to leave all work and coordinate with them.
Another occasion, the guy just upped and left because my security guard refused to look after his bike in a no parking zone outside the office building. Lol. I still stepped outside to pick it up myself but he had left, within 2 minutes. There is ample parking for bike, guess he just didn’t want to go to the trouble of walking with the bag. He did deliver the package at the doorstep a few hours later.
Recently Amazon gave the package to a postman to deliver. He was so crabby because I wasn’t available at the address. First of all the package arrived early, on a Saturday, and I don’t always go to the office(my own setup with partners) but I had work that day so asked him to come at a later hour. The man does come and then speaks to me soooo rudely that he had to come again and shakes his head disapprovingly. That is such terrible attitude! Not like I scheduled the day and time and then was unavailable. The postman must not have known about this but I think it was wrong of him to behave badly.
Incidentally, unfortunately I was unavailable to receive the package again and the guy rescheduled for the following day. I waited. The guy didn’t show up at all and then I got a notification that they sent the package back to the seller! The delivery guy didn’t even call the next day. They can’t send the package back after trying to ship it just once:-/
The last three incidents have happened within 4 days! I have placed yet another order with them because I couldn’t find the product on other sites. If I have a problem with the delivery this time, no more Amazon for me.
