On 15th may I ordered a amazon basics tripod for about 800rs or so. The tripod was of 50 inch height if expanded. There was another amazon basics 60 inch tripod too for about 1300rs or so. I thought and I guess whoever sees that will think that this 1300rs model is expensive than the 800rs variant due to its 10 inch more height. And I ordered tge 50 inch tripod.
Today 18th may I received tge order and guess what as I opened the box and unzip the carry bag there was a white color tag saying made in china. C’mon amazon u’re the biggest online giant in America and selling products in India made in china. That disappointed me alot. The amazon basics was supposed to be its USP. Thats why I ordered this. And they gave me this. Then I removed the plastic and it was beautiful . I mean the color was vibrant and very premium looking. It was having a brushed aluminum texture. As I stretched it to see its height I was getting angry. The stand clips were so sophisticated and fragile to touch that a little more pressure if applied it would definitely break. Then after an 5 min try I pulled and streched it fully to its length . It has a nice but there are cons. The foot of the tripod was not having any kind of rubber grip to hold it entacted to the ground. If it in tiles ground then it will surely slip. The bents were fragile too. The joints were for now very fluid and functional. But I cant say for how long. The screws were tightly gripped but the fragileness is too miluch while handling the stand.
And now the problems with its pricing.
The 60 inch tripod is less expensive I would say infront of this tripod. As it has a couple of more crucial features in it that proves that the pricing of both the tripods are not fine. Skimping on 2-3 features and also 10 inches less but still sold at 800rs is very expensive. Amazon should either lower the price of this 50 inches one or the 60 inches. Then everybody will come to differentiate between these two.
In my honest opinion it is not worthe the price. Because in offline markets u can get a far more superior quality tripod at this price range.
And also if the 60 inch tripod is what u r looking to buy then go for it . It will not upset you.
So whenever you buy something online you should surely do a research beforehand to get the best thing for the price.
