I don’t like Amazon’s apps seem to be stuck in when people looking to do some transaction, Amazon isn’t compelled to follow Google’s design standards but yes it does make their app feel outdated and less friendly. Amazon has an incentive to actively avoid following google’s design guidelines. they have their own distinct UI brand to maintain and making their app look like another Google app wouldn’t do themselves any favors.
