Ambrai is must if you are in Udaipur

I was travelling in Rajasthan during New year vacations and was in Udaipur for three nights.  I checked with locals there about good restaurants and all of them suggested Ambrai.

I decided to visit Ambrai but the biggest mistake I made was that I decided to go there with my Car and that too on 31st night. It took me almost 1.5 hours to cover 4 KM distance with several scratches on my car due to narrow lanes leading to Restaurant.

So better do not take your own vehicle there.use auto instead. When I reached there, it was jam packed and lots of people were there to book the table but since all tables were booked, they all couldn’t enjoy the delicious food of Ambrai. Fortunately, I made the booking in advance so there were no issues finding the table just at the bank of lake pichola.jag mandir, city palace, jal niwas in the background. I must say that it is an awesome place to have dinner in Udaipur considering its location.

The food is delicious– I ordered the famous Lal Maans and I must say that though I have tried it some of the best restaurants of Rajasthan, Ambrai came up with the killer Lal Maans.my wife ordered chinese food and it was also delicious. The only issue was with the service as it was bit slow.may be because of new year rush but it won’t make any difference as the view from my table was so awesome that I literally forgot about my meal.

If you are planning to visit Udaipur, make sure you visit Ambrai. Also, make sure to book your table in advance!
