A place for feeling history

Located in the outskirts of jaipur on a small hill of the oldest mountain range, i.e. Aravali range.

Jaipur is very well connected with most of the places on the earth.

Once you reach Amer fort. You will see the full view of the palace which is mesmerizing. The tall walls of golden yellow colors, behind which you can see many domes and pyramids. The palce will be about 400 metres from you and a beautiful and clean lake will separate you from the palace. On the whole this view will be captured in your mind for years. After that you surely want to go inside the palace and see how did the king, queens, prince, princess lived there.

You can walk or hire an elephant for that. Elephant riding is really an adventure. After reaching the front gate. You will see a beautiful architecture derived from mughal and rajput style. At every place you will find evidence of relationship and harmony between these two very different families.

The palace walls are very thick and made up of sandstonres and cerials used as cementing materials.

The engineering of the fort is also surprising.

You will see the front lawn having small chanells running from east to west & north to south. These were the channels used for floatting flowers for relaxing smell in the fort.

You will get to see the darbar e aam and darbar e khas.

The second courtyard is the place where king with his family lived. You will get to see every little detail of there living standards. By seeing there living room, bedroom, bathrooms etc. Experiencing these details will some time make you fill that this is your palace and you are the prince. A clear image will run in your mind how the king lived at this place. And now how you are seeing these places which was never seen by the common people at that period.

The windows above will show you the beautiful city of Amer i.e. Jaipur. That was the kingdom of the king.

The shish mahal is made of lakhs of mirrors placed in a very beautiful manner. A very nice place to see

There is also a tunnel which connects amer fort and jai garh fort, which is on a higher hill.

Tunnel is very safe and has all the lights and enough natural oxyge. So I suggest to walk in that tunnel to reach jaigarh fort. Which is also a very nice place. You will find the world’s largest canon there. That is ’Jaivana’.

I strongly recommend to visit this place. If you love history, architecture, culture and wish to see beautiful place.
