I had booked a ticket on 23rd May 2012 for Delhi to Lucknow PNR No. 6E-YGI1BI (Indigo Airlines), Confirmation ID 2305120600093EA journey date 24/5/2012. The booking amount was Rs4487/- I first tried to pay by my American Express Card. There was an error message on the website of Easmytrip. Next I used my SBI Credit Card (Visa) and the ticket was booked. Later on checking Credit card accounts I found both my American Express and SBI Card has been debited by same amount of Rs4487/-, whereas I was issued only one ticket. I complained to Easemytrip about this and they said that the money was wrongly debited as they had some technical problem with American Express and they will credit my money back in 3-4 working days (they mailed this to me on 28th May 2012).
Also, I contacted American Express who said that they are getting lot of complaints from Easemytrip customers who use American Express. Since 23rd May till today Easemytrip have neither refunded my money and do not reply to my mails. Whenever I call them they put me on a long hold and tell me that it will be done in next 3-4 days. And this sequence is going on for more than one month. Although the tickets in easemytrip are the cheapest but their service and support sucks, they lie without fail and don’t update the customers. I will not do ticketing with easemytrip anymore. Also American Express which boasts that they have great systems and does proper security checks before they allow any vendor to use their services should also blacklist easemytrip.
While charging annual fees they give this reason that there will never be any problem or fraud when we use Amex but it seems it was all just talk.
