Amex Card and customer service sucks

I am going to share a brief experience of my Amex Corporate card membership. I became a member of Amex corporate cards in 2005 from my company. I quit this company on July 2008 and one of the necessary and sufficient conditions of getting my clearance from the company is to ensure that my Amex Corporate card account balance is zero. Now, when I quit the company, my company took the cancellation request on my card and it was verified and validated with Amex that my account balance was Nil. Now after 3 months, Amex has started sending me letters saying that there is an amount overdue on this card.

When I called up the customer service executive in the number 22481800 from Bangalore, the service executive started forcing me that the transaction was mine and I have to own up the responsibility of the transaction. While I repeatedly kept on mentioning that the transaction was not mine, and I wanted to raise a dispute, the CSR started abusing me. He was not willing to understand anything, BTW, my amount due was Rs. 204 only.

Now, how can a customer service executive behave with a customer in the way in which he behaved? Is that the culture of Amex? Or even for Rs. 204, they wanted to have a heavy handed approach? Funniest was that, rather than understanding the problem, they were more keen in enforcing their own thoughts. Is this the way Amex in India works?
