I am using American Express Membership Rewards Credit Card from last one year. Their reward point redemption offers are really good but options for using this card are very less as these cards are not accepted by around 70% of merchants. Also, mostly you will not get any benefit like discounts on major e-commerce websites but their policy of waiving off the fees after 150000/- spend in one year really helped otherwise there is no point in spending around 5000/- for the card. Now, talking about the benefits: 1. For me, the card is free from second year onward. 2. I got 10 times more benefits as compared to 1200/- plus tax amount which I paid in the first year as they returned the fees in the form of bonus points and further bonus points given on issuance of add on cards 3. More bonus points on making transactions through add on cards. 4. Bonus 1000 points every month on 4 transactions of 1000/- or above. Also, their customer care is very good i.e. instant resolution of problem and almost zero minute waiting time on IVR. Let me tell you very honestly that American Express Cards are not for everyone. They issue the cards only after checking the income and age combination of the customer.
